BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
1943 - Born on 8 December in Sofia's Konyovitsa suburb.
1962 - Graduated from the Sofia Secondary Art School.
1969 - Graduated in painting in the class of Professor Iliya Petrov, Academy of Fine Arts.
1969 - Awarded the annual prize of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
1971 - Awarded the prize of the National Organisation of Bulgarian Youth for his overall annual performance.
1973 - Became member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
1974 - Joint exhibition of paintings with Toma Trifonov in Sofia.
1980 - One-man exhibition in the old part of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
1984 - One-man exhibition in Sofia.
1984 - First prize for a work on a patriotic subject created in the 1983-1984 period.
1984 - His painting "We from Konyovitsa" won the Ministry of Culture Award in the General Art Exhibition of Bulgarian artists on the subject " Sofia".
4984 - Awarded honorary art title on behalf of the Ministry of Culture.
1985 - One-man show at the Centre for National Tradition in the village of Oreshaka, Bulgaria.
1986 - One-man exhibition in Sofia.
1987 - Joint exhibition with sculptor Georgi Chapkunov in the UNESCO building in Paris.
1987 - One-man exhibition in Bratislava.
1987 - One-man exhibition in Prague.
1988 - One-man exhibition in Cyprus.
1988 - One-man exhibition in Vienna.
1989 - One-man exhibition in Sofia.
1989 - One-man exhibition in Brussels.
1990 - Joint exhibition with sculptor Tsvetomir Kirov in Sofia.
1991 - One-man exhibition in London.
1993 - One-man exhibition in Helsinki
His paintings were also exhibited in Greece, Cuba, Kuwait, Great Britain, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, the Soviet Union, Poland, Canada, Algeria, Germany, the United States.
Many of his works are owned by the National Art Gallery of Bulgaria, the Sofia City Art Gallery, the City Gallery in Cologne, the Pushkin Museum in Sofia, by a number of local galleries in Bulgaria, and by private collectors throughout the world.
